gabi+skin was started by Mandy Wu, a busy advertising executive who created a coffee scrub to treat her own sensitive skin after regularly breaking out in skin rashes. Her original coffee scrub formulation worked so well that friends and family started asking for jars of the scrub. When they saw similarly impressive effects after just a single use, Mandy created gabi+skin to make the first locally developed coffee scrub in Taiwan available to more women looking for natural and effective skincare. She asked her husband, who owns Level Interactive, a branding consultancy, to help with logos and design. Mandy runs the company now, having discovered a new passion for the freedom and challenges that come from being an entrepreneur and building a skincare brand. She hopes to inspire more would-be female entrepreneurs to pursue their dreams.
